ABOUT ME

My name is Rosie, I'm a 28 year old filmmaker based in Manchester, UK. 
 

Since I can remember, I have been around cameras. I was the kid who used all my dad’s film roll up on our holidays. I was fascinated by documenting moments in life. This obsession became stronger as I grew up. I taught myself editing at school on iMovie. Nothing beat the excitement I would get from people’s reactions to the little films I would make from my phone footage. 
 

As I went into my adult life, I had to decide what path I would take. I knew I wanted to do something where I could impact lives in a positive way. I knew I had a passion for storytelling so I decided that being behind the camera was where I belonged. There’s something special about making an idea come to life through film. 
 

I went on to study Creative Filmmaking at College in Derby and was fortunate enough to have the most inspiring lecturers. One woman in particular, her name is Vanessa, we are still in touch to this day. 

 

After college came to an end, I got a scholarship to study a degree in Creative Filmmaking at Manchester Metropolitan University.  When I moved to the North I just fell in love with the busyness of the city, the old bridges and new tower blocks side by side, the opportunities and of course, the people. I have lived in Manchester ever since. 
 

I’ve had the pleasure of working across a huge variety of industries over the years and I am always looking to expand my knowledge and expertise with new ones. I love the fact no day is the same with my line of work. My favourite thing is creatively bouncing ideas with my clients, ensuring ideas become crystal clear before making the vision come to life.

Film is so incredibly powerful. We can use it to deliver messages and tell stories that can reach large audiences in short spaces of time. We can influence emotion and impact people's opinions. I love what I do and feel very fortunate to be in a career I am passionate about.
